History Douglas
and Greer was established in 1948 by W.C. Douglas Sr, as a full service
writer of both personal and commercial insurance products. Douglas and
Greer represents approximately fifteen different property and casualty
Insurance companies. This allows its customers with the most up to date
insurance products at competitive rates. Our staff includes licensed
insurance professionals ready to serve customer needs in a professional
and timely manner.
Douglas and Greer also specialize in construction bonding and
construction insurance for contractors of all sizes and types. Through
out large volume business we are able to provide competitive surety
rates and lines of credit for our contractors. Our
staff includes W.C. Douglas Jr. (Billy), who graduated from University
of Tennessee with a degree in insurance. He earned his CPCU designation
in 1986. Billy has more than twenty-four years in the insurance
business. Ray
Greer graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree
in marketing and economics. He specializes in handling the surety and
insurance needs of both established and emerging contactors. Ray has
been in the insurance business since 1975. Our
support staff includes Mrs. Paula Wheeler with fifteen years of
experience, handling all lines of products., with her main focus on bids
and performance payout bonds. Margie Burroughs has more than five years
experience in representing most major carriers in the United States. Her
specialty includes person al home and automotive insurance. Judy Hooper
also handles personal automotive and homeowner insurance. Judy has been
with Douglas and Greer for more than twenty years.
